YOU AND I

I am a flower and you are a bee,
You buzz to my pollen and get it for free.

I am a forest and you are a man,

You bring in an ax and get what you can.

I am thick carpet on a cold, lumpy floor,

You walk on me daily so your feet don't get sore.

I am the scapegoat and you are the lie,

My fall is your win, so sneaky and sly.

I am the water and you are the fish,

Nothing will save you from being Main Dish.
