So, I was filling out my ballot today and looking up measures before I vote on them when I stumbled upon something called "Ballotpedia" which was pretty useful. I looked up a few things, then, as an afterthought I decided to check out what it had to say about California's Proposition 8. It's so disheartening for me to look at the direction the people of our country are going. I also found another reason for me not to vote for Obama. Turns out he's against Prop. 8. For anyone who hasn't read Sariah's post I'm including a couple of videos (one with Elder David A. Bednar and one directly from the church) that I think do justice to the gravity of the situation. I just hope everyone sees the potential direction this country could take with a man who would describe this proposition as "the divisive and discriminatory efforts to amend the California Constitution".

yeah politics, it's not my favorite thing! I can't believe the comments being made out there against LDS members, as if we want this to pass because we are prejudice! It's like they stated in those links, it's about what will happen after wards, and the fact that it is meant to stay the way God designed it to be and we need to make a stand! It will be a huge thing if it does get voted down!and not a good thing by any means!!
