Fort Stevens

Here were are on our last day of our trip to the coast at Fort Stevens. This was built for defense during WWII.  Nick said they took a couple of pot shots from the Japanese.
They were firing a cannon, but not with real cannons, just with a lot of gun powder.
Here is a monster cannon up in the fort.  I believed they used these during WWII...  You can see the inlet to the Columbia from where Tekara is standing.
Gotta love her!
